Our Publishing Process

How Masihi Sahitya Sanstha Transforms Manuscripts into Ministry Resources

Masihi Sahitya Sanstha follows a thoughtful, ministry-focused publishing process designed to uphold quality, clarity, and faithfulness to the Gospel. Each step ensures your message is shaped, refined, and shared with the audience it is meant to serve.

Step 1: Submission & Vision Alignment

We begin by receiving your manuscript along with a project overview, author bio, audience focus, and ministry goals. Our team prayerfully evaluates the heart and purpose behind your work to ensure alignment with MSS’s mission—to strengthen the Church, equip believers, and support Gospel outreach.

Step 2: Editorial Evaluation

Our editorial team conducts a deep examination of your manuscript’s structure, theological consistency, scriptural references, tone, and literary quality. This assessment helps us determine whether the manuscript needs developmental editing, restructuring, or light refinement. You receive a detailed editorial plan and suggested improvements.

Step 3: Development & Copyediting

We refine the manuscript chapter-by-chapter, strengthening flow, argumentation, clarity, and readability. Developmental editing clarifies big ideas and improves overall cohesion. Copyediting ensures grammar, punctuation, spelling, and style consistency. Scripture citations, references, and quotations are double-checked for accuracy.

Step 4: Cover Design & Typesetting

Our designers create a visually compelling cover that communicates the core theme of your book. For the interior layout, we craft professional, readable typography suited to the genre—academic, devotional, pastoral, or ministry-oriented. Layout includes consistent headings, footnotes, spacing, and formatting that meet publishing standards.

Step 5: Proofing & Author Approval

You receive the first set of page proofs to review carefully. At this stage, you can request final corrections, refine wording, or adjust design elements. After revisions, a second proof is generated for confirmation. Nothing moves to print without your written approval on the final draft.

Step 6: Production & Printing

Final approved files are prepared following industry-standard print specifications. You can choose between short-run printing for ministry distribution or larger commercial print quantities. We ensure high-quality paper, binding, color accuracy, and print durability suitable for long-term use in churches and training.

Step 7: Distribution & Launch Support

We assist in creating a distribution plan tailored to your book’s purpose. This includes ISBN allocation, cataloging metadata, online listings, bookstore partnership opportunities, and ministry-based selling channels. Basic promotional assets such as blurbs, descriptions, and social media visuals can also be provided.

Step 8: Ongoing Partnership

Our relationship does not end after printing. MSS offers reprint management, digital version preparation, translation support, ministry distribution guidance, and updates for future editions. We remain committed to ensuring your book continues to serve its intended mission.
